'at least say to me that that wasn't as pathetic as it sounded...' - starling, darling

today was the day of reunions [of sorts] & sloan discussion. well, mostly anyway. i just basically ran into a lot of people today that i hadn't seen in a while. best of all... i saw craigmaster! yes, the one & only cap'n craig, whom i haven't seen in ages. i miss that boy so much. other people i saw today, in more or less detailed contexts:

anyway, it was enough to keep me happy for the day. especially craigmaster & shannon. i've also, officially now, got the job writing for the arts section of the fulcrum [ottawa u's newspaper] which is great fun because it means writing & it means music... woo! i can't wait. now i just need to call to get some assignments.

as for the sloan-ey goodness of the day... some random guy came up to me in second cup and starting talking to me about the past few sloan shows & mike o'neill playing with them & whatnot. it was fantastic cause he was a totally retro sloan fan and i was just digging it. great fun all around. he was more than a little upset that i got to go to the carleton show, though. =) and then my lovely second cup sloan buddy, aka katie [at least... i think that's her name? haha] and i also started talking about the sloan show... but she was totally upset because she didn't get to stay to see the show [even though she didn't miss much]. she's such a dear.

you know what? i don't really have the mindset to write anything like this right now, but i'm trying to avoid doing my readings for tomorrow, so i'm doing this instead. make sense? not really, cause i have to do them anyway. but i'm just silly that way.

perhaps i leave this to tomorrow when i can exxxplain a little more coherently my silly little soap opera of a life [hehehe] but i'll at least say this for mike's sake...

film studies was monday night. i didn't know if i'd actually like it and i think mike was actually more gung ho for me to go to it than i was to go myself... but anyway... i walk in... found iain... look at the course outline... and see what movie we were watching this week.... oh yes... RUN LOLA RUN. did i die of happiness right then & there? oh yes i certainly did. i should trust you more often mike. wooooooooooooooooooooooo films on monday nights! haha

anyway, later chickens with one last sidenote. joel is a rock star [we already knew that] that, well, rocks. and is too smart [in a good way]. k-i-c-k-a-s-s. you know what it spells [success damnit, success!].

the bottom line is love
